(American White Pelicans playing follow the leader. I thought I would try a "high key" image with the editing. I like it a lot.)

(Burrowing Owl in Cape Coral. This is the very first one I saw. I met Beverly Saltonstall at the Chamber of Commerce and this one was right there. Beverly literally wrote the book on the owls in Cape Coral.)

(Burrowing Owl. Their eyes are amazing. Most have the bright yellow coloration outside the pupils.)

(Burrowing Owl. These owls are protected and they are easy to photograph. They are used to people and pets walking by.)

(Burrowing Owls. This is a mated pair. I'd like to be back there in the spring when the eggs hatch.)

(Burrowing Owl mated pair. Look at the difference in eye color. This is not indicative of male/female. The female is usually lighter and larger than the male.)

(Alligators are popular in the Everglades and everyone wants a picture. Look at the reflection in this ones eyes.)

(Alligator in Big Cypress on Loop Road. This gator was bigger. Alligators in the water are tough to get a good shot of. It's a lot easier when they come out to get some sun. Shot with a long lens at a respectful distance.)

(Juvenile racoon. There was an adult and four kits. If you look closely you can see my reflection in its eyes. I was standing on the boardwalk just above it. I was mostly unperturbed by my presence.)
