Dalmation Pelicans - Lake Kerkini, Greece - January 2026

Mark Smith started posting photographs of Dalmation Pelicans a couple of years ago and it made me want to get my own photos. I plan way ahead for these trips, ofte 18 months or more. Mark filled this trip up before I could jump on board, and I already had the Tanzania trip planned for February. Then Mark called in Februay with an opening and I could not pass it up. My turnaround from Greece to Africa was only a week and our rouge winter storm almost hosed me with that, but I made it both to Greece and Africa. I'm glad I did not miss either one.
