Great Egret hunting at Caddo Lake in the fall.
This is my best fighting shot of the week.
I can't believe I missed that seal!
This whale wanted to give us a hug.
Bobcat hunting.
Coyote pouncing on a pocket gopher. Based on two days of observation I'd say they are successful about 1 out of 5 times.
Mom and cub.
Milky Way on the first night. It was very challenging. It turns out that light pollution is a big issue in Joshua Tree National Park. Additionally, the moon did not set till shortly before blue hour and it was 77% full and very bright.
Great Egret in breeding plumage.
Cool looking birds! When the sun comes out they light up like Christmas ornaments.
Yearbook photo
American White Pelicans playing follow the leader. I thought I would try a "high key" image with the editing. I like it a lot.
Travel day eight. My favorite photograph of the trip. I'm pretty sure I would never have tried this shot if Rich hadn't shown it to me. This is the Sir Walter Scott Monument. I've included a couple of others too. It is an amazing edifice.
Dinner in the air.
It gets competitive at times.
The approach
Red-eyed Tree Frog
Squirrel Monkey
This little tree is clinging to life in a harsh environment among the Hoodoos of Bryce Canyon.. This type of scene always gets my attention.
Mother Cheetah portrait
This is two exposures blended together. One for the sky and one for the foreground.
My favorite shot of the trip and one of my favorites of all time.
Shaking it off.
Crested Caracara
She falls for it completely

These are some of my alltime favorite photos.
