This is trip number 13 with Backcountry Journeys. Keenan Hursh was the guide and he was new to me. As usual, he did not disappoint. The trip itself was not exactly what I expected as we basically drove up and down the same couple of roads the whole trip. Kinda boring, especially on slow wildlife days.
We did see wolves through a spotting scope that Keenan had, but we never had a chance to photograph any, which is to be expected. Those opportunities are rare. I was lucky to get wolves on my first trip of the year in January to Yellowstone. You'll have to check out that album if you want to see wolves.
We did see Bighorn Sheep which I had never had a chance to photograph before and even better, we found and photographed the Pygmy Owl. We got great shots on our second encounter and that was awesome.
As you can see, the theme for this trip is Black and White photography. On may of the shots there was very little color anyway, so I gravitated toward Black and White for this trip.
