Caddo Lake - November 2024

This is trip number 12 with BCJ and my third trip with Jon Resnick. I signed up for this a long time ago before I swore off landscape trips. Now I'm just booking wildlife trips. But, I'm glad I did this one. The Bald Cypress trees at Caddo Lake are just beautiful in the fall, and my co-photographers were some of the nicest I've met yet. It was an awesome trip.


Grant Ordelheide had told me to be sure and ask Mike (the lake guide) about the beaver. I won't relate it here, but the beaver story was worth the price of admission all by itself!

Mike (the lake guide) called all the Blue Herons that stood on one of the posts used as direction markers in the lake Fred. This photo had a blank white sign there so I used generative AI to add the Fred sign.
