Alaska Bears - August 2023
This was a trip with Expeditions Alaska and Carl Donohue. We stayed on a 98 foot yacht named Le Canard. Our accomodations were super comfortable and came complete with fast internet. Thanks Elon Musk!
Each day we left the boat and took a skiff over to a creek that was busy with salmon, which in turn made it busy with bears. We got some nice stuff!
The rule was that we could not approach any bear closer than 50 yards, and we did not. The bears however had no such rule and they were often 10 yards away, and even closer. The salmon were of way more interest to them than we were.
I try not to go crazy with too many images and I attempt to limit myself. I'm not even sure that these are the best ones. They are just the first images I tagged as good candidates for the gallery. I hope you enjoy them.
